A NOTE FROM US
Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
We believe some of the most important journeys begin in the heart, and writing can be one way to honor them.
As Allah reminds us, “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves” (Qur’an 13:11). We see journaling as one small but meaningful way of responding to this call inwardly. In Islam, change begins with the heart — with sincerity, self-accountability, and a willingness to reflect on where we are, who we are becoming, and how closely our lives align with what pleases Allah.
Through journaling, we create space for Muhasabah, the practice of examining ourselves honestly. By renewing our Niyyah (intention), and turning our reflections into Du’a, journaling becomes a quiet way of bringing the heart back to Allah. We can write down our intentions, our struggles, our blessings, our Du’as, and the reminders that move us closer to Allah. This act of writing becomes a form of Tazkiyah, helping us clear what weighs on the heart and renew what strengthens faith. It also allows us to preserve moments of Dhikr, lessons from the Qur’an, reflections from prayer, and the quiet thoughts that may otherwise pass unnoticed.
In this way, journaling is not the source of transformation itself, but a sincere tool that helps us begin it. It gives shape to reflection, supports repentance, and helps us return again and again to Allah with greater awareness and intention. Through that process, we hope to hold onto the wisdom of this verse — that lasting change begins from within, by the mercy of Allah and the effort of a sincere heart.
May these pages become a source of benefit, reflection, and nearness to Allah.
JazakAllah khair
